Overview
Trinity is an underground electronic music initiative based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire’s vibrant economic and cultural capital. Positioned at the intersection of sound exploration and artistic expression, Trinity brings together a dynamic community of local and international DJs, performers, and audiences. Over the course of two years, the brand has evolved into a leading platform for nightlife innovation, known for its bold visual identity and genre-pushing lineups.
Challenge
The challenge was to build a visual universe that could continuously evolve while staying rooted in Trinity’s distinct identity. The brand had to remain recognizable yet flexible, able to host experimental editions and seasonal events without losing cohesion. It needed to reflect both the underground electronic ethos and a sense of local cultural richness.
Approach
Visually, the identity of Trinity moves fluidly between afro-futurism and retro-afroism, creating a layered aesthetic that feels both timeless and experimental. This tension between eras allowed us to stretch the brand across multiple editions, each with a unique tone, while maintaining a recognizable thread of design language and symbolism.
From animated flyers to social content, every asset was crafted with movement, sound, and spatial rhythm in mind. Set designs and digital visuals echoed the sounds of the night, creating immersive experiences that extended beyond the music itself.
NYE EVE 2023 - Assinie Mafia
A Curated Escapade
A seaside celebration blending rhythm, design, and nostalgia. This New Year’s Eve event was fully curated, from international DJ bookings to on-site production and set design. The creative direction leaned into retro afroism, echoing the warm tones and organic textures of the venue’s coastal setting.
We crafted a visual language rooted in vintage graphics, earthy yet vibrant color palettes, and rustic material references. The set design embraced wood, woven textures, and hand-painted signage to anchor the event in both place and spirit. Paired with tailored lighting and motion graphics, Assinie Mafia offered an immersive, soulful send-off into the new year.

The Re-Birth of TRINITY
Although Trinity had existed in earlier forms, it was with this first official edition that the brand’s identity became truly defined. Our work began by reimagining and refining Trinity’s visual language, giving it clear intention and direction.
Rooted in afro-futurism, the creative system leaned into moody, industrial textures, geometric shapes, and a monochrome color structure, with each event assigned a dominant hue accented by vivid pops. This visual identity not only established the tone of the brand but also signaled a shift: Trinity was no longer just an event, it was an emerging cultural presence in Abidjan’s underground electronic scene.
Through this design lens, Trinity became instantly recognizable, drawing in a growing community and helping solidify its role as a platform for bold, alternative expression.

A renewed Pulse
A renewal for a new season, TRINITY V.02 marked a deliberate shift, a fresh evolution rooted in retro afroism, while staying true to the visual system established in V.01.
The design introduced bolder, expressive motifs, softening the industrial edge of the original identity with a playful, nostalgic energy. A new motion language emerged through glitch effects and abstract forms, reflecting the dynamic progression of the event series.
Monochrome palettes and moody tones remained, a matured version of Trinity’s DNA that balanced grit with rhythm and a deepening sense of self.

VALENTASTICO
A Pop Affair
Valentastico was Trinity’s Valentine’s Day event, designed with a brighter, more playful visual identity. Still rooted in the brand’s foundation, we shifted toward a pop-disco fantasy, with punchy colors, an eye catching lettering of “Valentastico”, soft 3D elements, and references to vintage romance. The tone was lighter, cheekier, and more celebratory, a deliberate stray from the usual darkness of Trinity, perfectly fit for a night of dancing hearts and electric love.
FUNKY XMAS
Holiday in the Underground
A playful seasonal detour, Funky Xmas reimagined holiday visuals through Trinity’s retro-futurist lens. Using isometric illustrations, bold red-and-white palettes, and vintage disco references, we crafted a bright, festive identity that stood out from our darker base aesthetic. While it leaned more colorful and celebratory, the design retained a modern edge, brought to life through animation and motion graphics that gave the event its unmistakable energy.
TRINITY x DJAOULI
Retro Meets Grit
For this collaboration, we leaned into a Studio 54-meets-underground aesthetic. Chrome textures, grainy overlays, and disco-era references, like nods to icons such as Diana Ross, infused the artwork with nostalgic glamour. Despite its vintage edge, the design kept one foot in the present with a gritty, industrial tone, channeling Trinity’s signature identity into a co-branded visual narrative that felt bold, stylish, and unmistakably urban.
TRINITY BLOCK PARTY
The City Takes the Stage
A street-level celebration of sound and community, Trinity Block Party brought the gritty glam of previous collaborations into an open-air, high-energy setting. Partnering with a local Abidjan brand, we built a visual identity that honored the city’s raw vibrancy, combining retro-futuristic textures with urban references and street graphics. This was Trinity in daylight, where music spills into the streets and the underground pulses in full view.
